What's included

Project work

Gain your PADI Divemaster certification and contribute to coral conservation efforts.

Accommodation

Live in shared accommodation at the research station which is also a PADI 5-star dive resort.

Meals

Get breakfast, lunch and dinner (plus a dive snack) from Monday to Saturday.

Airport transfer

You’ll get collected from Bocas del Toro Isla Colón José E. Hall International airport (BOC).

Comprehensive pre-departure support

Includes a dedicated support coordinator to answer your questions, an Essential Info Pack, and a webinar to learn more about your program.

Comprehensive in-country support

Includes a welcome orientation, including safety, culture and environmental info. A Program Manager is there to support you.

24/7 mental health support

Receive support services provided by licensed professionals.

Training

With an exclusive focus on conservation, you will learn about coral reef substrate, anatomy, monitory, data collection and more.

Diving equipment

Equipment included: tank, weights, air fills. Dive gear can be rented at an additional cost with reservation prior to arrival.

Diving & Dive certifications

10–12 dives a week. PADI Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Emergency First Response, Rescue Diver and Divemaster.
What's not included

Flights and airport taxes, medical and travel insurance, visa costs, police or background check, additional drinks and gratuities, extra local excursions, personal items and toiletries, meals on Sundays, transport to explore in free time, PADI registration fees, personal insurance to cover diving activities, dive medical and mandatory dive gear such as dive computer, dive compass, knife/diver’s tool and two surface signalling devices — one audible (whistle) and one visible (DSMB and reel).

Your accommodation

Nestled between the lush, green vegetation on Solarte is your accommodation. This wooden bungalow seamlessly melts into its tropical surroundings, making you feel at one with nature. 

 

The remote jungle setting provides the perfect opportunity to unplug from the busyness of the world. And if you’re craving some time in the ocean, the bungalow is just 80 metres from the beach! It’s also conveniently close to the dive centre, allowing easy access for your projects. 

 

The spacious house is equipped with two dormitory-style rooms containing bunk beds, as well as a single room with a queen-size bed. Other amenities include two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room and living room.

 

This will be your home away from home – a place where you can reconnect with yourself while immersed in local culture. Oh, and we can’t forget about the adorable base dog, Mika!
